In addition to the AUTERAS® design tool, the AUTERAS® LITE tool is available for you to get started. It queries the functional customer requirements and determines the necessary standard functions, sensors, etc., which must be covered by the room automation devices to be used. At the moment AUTERAS® LITE ist just available in German.

On 29 May 2018 the 13th Silicon Saxony Day took place. This Silicon Saxony Day was all about "Smart System Hubs".
The topic was HARDWARE.SOFTWARE.CONNECTIVITY. A key topic was the interoperability of networked sensors, controllers and actuators. The professorship for Technical Information Systems is a member of the Silicon Saxony Network and has actively helped shape the 13th Silicon Saxony Day.

One of the actors of the first hour is the professorship for Technical Information Systems. She is involved in the Smart Systems Hub in order to talk to external stakeholders.
Standard VDI 3812 "Automation functions for residential buildings"
In the new VDI 3812 workgroup, the industry is developing a modular system of automation functions, from which thousands of frequently built living space types can be compiled in planning. This means that complete equipment concepts can be generated from simple checklists in just a few minutes.
